Well-known seaside of eastern Sicily, Aci Castello has a unique charm, bordered by crystal-clear waters that lash into the lava-stone ridges, in the shadow of the Norman Castle that gave its name to the city. Acitrezza is a fraction of Aci Castello, so characteristic that it inspired the odes of Homer for his Odyssey. An absolutely adorable small fishing village, it enchants with its panorama dominated by the 8 faraglioni, the lava ridges formed before Etna.

The Riviera dei Ciclopi is a 12 km long stretch of coast, located north of the city of Catania, overlooked by the cities of Acireale, Aci Castello, Aci Trezza and many others, always identified by the prefix “Aci”. According to legend, Aci was a shepherd who fell in love with Galatea, a beautiful sea nymph. However, he was not the only one to love her. Polyphemus, driven by jealousy, threw a large rock on Aci, killing him. The nymph then asked the gods to return her beloved and they transformed it into a river, in whose delta Aci and Galatea could meet.

For cruise ship passengers embarking from the port of Catania, Catania Cruise Port offers a secure outdoor car park on Molo Sporgente Centrale, a few steps from the cruise terminal and the ship’s berth.

The weekly service fee for passengers is €85.00 for cars and €100.00 for larger vehicles (campers, vans, minivans). Payment can be made on-site on the day of departure by credit card or cash.

We hosted Azamara Onward and Azamara Pursuit, the newest ships in the fleet, for the first time.

The over 800 passengers on these two beautiful luxury ships were able to visit the wonders of the city and Eastern Sicily: from the cathedral to the baroque Via Crociferi, from the Ursino castle to the stacks of Acitrezza, up to the historic fish market.

🇬🇧Belonging to the German company TUI Cruises, the cruise ship Mein Schiff 2 reaches the Ionian coast berthing at Sporgente Centrale pier of Catania.

Built for Celebrity Cruises at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, the beautiful queen of the sea has a length of 866 ft and a draft of 25.5 ft.

Catania Cruise Port è lieta di ospitare il doppio accosto di Le Lyrial, nave da crociera di @ponant, e Viking Jupiter, piccola nave da crociera di @vikingcruises nel suo scalo inaugurale a Catania.

Costruita nel 2015, Le Lyrial è una nave di tipo super yacht e offre crociere di alta gamma con servizi alberghieri a 5 stelle.

Viking Jupiter, caratterizzata dall’avere solamente cabine con balcone, è costruita in modo da poter accedere laddove le grandi navi non riescono e presenta una piscina “Infinity” situata a poppa e una Spa disegnata nel rispetto della tradizione scandinava.
